H.G. Mathews Mor Ivanious Metropolitan of Kandanad has been appointed as the Apostolic Vicar to the Churches in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Fujairah by H.H. The Patriarch Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas.

H.G. Mathews Mor Ivanious Metropolitan has appointed Rev Fr. Varghese Arackal as the new Vicar from 08th |September 2011.

On 07th October 2011 the church organized a send-off for Rev Fr. Jinu T Joy on completion of his two year term. We also welcomed Rev Fr Varghese Arackal as the new Vicar of our Church.

On 14th October 2011 H.G. Yuhanon Mor Miletheous Metropolitan visited us on completion of his tenure as the Apostolic Vicar for the Churches in Abu Dhabi & Dubai.

On 28th October 2011 our Sunday School students participated in the Inter Talent Fest 2011 and secured third position in the MJSSA organized Inter Talent Fest the same was held at Dubai Church. Miss Riya Shaju won the overall Individual Championship for the third time in a row.

On 29th October 2011 Rev Fr, Jinu T Joy left for India after completing his tenure in our Church, a large number of the parishioners were present to see off Achan at the parsonage. We wish Achan all the best in all his future endeavors and thank him for leading us in our spiritual growth.

On 04th Nov 2011 we celebrated the feast of St Gregorios Parumal Thirumeni by serving love feast to all present.

From 20th November 2011 H.G. Mathew MOR Ivanious Metropolitan visited us and celebrated Holy Qurbana on 25th November 2011.

H.G. Severios Abraham Metropolitan of Angamaly & President of Theological Seminary visited us and celebrated Holy Qurbana on the 02nd Dec 2011. H.G. inaugurated our Harvest Fest 2011 at the Marthoma Church.

On 02nd December 2011 the Church celebrated the Harvest Fest 2011 at the Marthoma Church Mussafah. A large number of our church members were present to make the event a grand success. Live music and hot Kerala dishes made the event lively. The event was a success due to the enthusiasm of the church members, our sponsors and the prayer of the multitude. We thank the Almighty for His blessings.

From 04th December 2011 to 18th December 2011 carol visits were arranged. The carols sang at Family Units houses and also at some individual homes and bought home the message of Christ’s love for his people.

The Youth Association and the Sunday School arranged a counseling class for Sunday school students on the 23rd December 2011 and for the Youth on the same day. The classes were lead by Rev Fr. Varghese Arackal and Rev Fr. John Mathew – Vicar St Gregorios Knanaya Church Abu Dhabi.

The Church Picnic was arranged on 30th December 2011 in Abu Dhabi a large number of our parishioners were present and the Sunday School teachers arranged the games which was well received. It was an enjoyable day for the family and the bachelors.

Our Vicar has moved to the new Parsonage opposite the St Andrews Center. The new Phone no is 024460711 and during the period of Lent we have Evening Prayers from 07.30 to 08.00 pm. On Fridays it will be from 06.30 to 07.00 pm. As we have Holy Qurbana on Mondays at the St Josephs Church we will not be having Evening prayers on all Mondays at the Parsonage.

The Vacation Bible School was conducted from 26th March 2011 to 31st March 2011. The Theme for the VBS was "Abide In Me" . We had around 120 students who attended the VBS. The first days inauguration and class was taken by Rev Fr. John Mathew Vicar St Gregorious Knanyan Church Abu Dhabi. Our Vicar Rev Fr Jinu T Joy spoke on the occasion and exhorted the students to learn the Theme "Abide In Me" and its teaching and implement the same in our lives.
 
The VBS Coordinator Mr. Bijy M Thomas welcomed the guest for the day and asked the students to focus on the theme "Abide in Me" and promised that the VBS would be a fun-filled learning experience. The Church Secretary Mr. Prince John & the Trustee Mr. Vinu Jacob Peter also spoke on the occasion.
 
The Headmistress Mrs. Sheela Prince proposed the Vote of Thanks.
 
The VBS was held on all days from 05.45 pm to 08.15 pm. Mr. Jogin Alex taught the students the VBS songs based on the theme, and included action songs to get all the tiny tots involved it was a fun filled 6 days week and kept the students asking for more. On Monday all teachers and students attended the Holy Mass after the VBS Class and Holy Communion was given to students. 
 
On 31st March 2011 the final day celebrations of the VBS was celebrated at the Parsonage and thereafter the students, parents and teachers were given a love feast. The Ruby House was declared the overall champions for the event based on the week long programs and competitions that were conducted.

On 18th March 2011 all our Church members assembled at the St Andrews Centre from 07.00 AM to 04.00 PM for a fasting prayer which was conducted by Rev Fr. Binoy. The Church in Abu Dhabi prayed as one unit for the express desire of all us to have a land alloted to our Church in Abu Dhabi. 


 
We hope and pray that our heart's desire finds favour and the Lords blessings are showered on our church in Abu Dhabi.


  On Friday 04th March 2011 we will be blessed with the Apostolic visit of H.G. MOR THEODOSIUS MATHEWS – Metropolitan of Kollam & Kuwait who will lead us for the Holy Qurbana. H.G. is presently in the UAE in connection with the consecration ceremony of the New Church Hall of our Dubai Church.

  The lent will begin on the 07th March 2011.

  We are planned to have a one day fasting prayer on Friday the 18th March 2011 at the St Andrews Centre from 07.30 AM to 04.00 PM for the explicit purpose of being blessed with a place of worship for us in Abu Dhabi. We call on the faithful to join us during this fast by praying and fasting with us for this noble cause.

  We have rented a new parsonage close to the St Andrews Centre for our Vicar to stay the change of residence will probably take place by Mid-March 2011. Our phone numbers and fax contacts will change, however Rev Fr. Jinu T Joy mobile number 050-5727614 will be accessible to all during this transition phase.

  The new academic year has begun for our Sunday School, new admissions are now being accepted, Sunday School timings are from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm on all Fridays. We provide return transport after Sunday School hours to students residing in the City as well as Mussafah. We request all parents to enroll their children. We have around 100 students and classes are being held from the age of 4 years for Baby class to Class XII.

  We are in the process of updating our database and publishing a new Church Directory. We require a family photograph to publish in the directory please e-mail the same or hand over to the Youth Association members after Holy Qurbana. We also request you to sponsor the church directory by way of advertisements, special day remembrance, thanksgiving notices to support the cost of publishing the directory. The lead to publish the Directory is being taken by our Youth Association please contact the office bearers for more information on how you could contribute towards the Church directory project.

  We have a started our Holy Qurbana in Mussafah area those residing in the near vicinity are welcome to join us for Holy Qurbana on 03rd Fridays from 04.00 to 06.00 pm. The Holy Qurbana is held at the Marthoma Church Mussafah. Since this service in new and we are still in the process of contacting our members the timings are subject to change so do contact the Vicar on 050-5727614 for exact schedules.
